  • Waffles
  • 1 can Carnation® Regular, 2% or Fat-Free Evaporated Milk
  • Lemon juice or white vinegar
  • ¼ cup melted butter
  • eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups Robin Hood® Original All Purpose Flour
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 2 ¼ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 16 sticks (skewers, lollipop sticks, popsicle sticks)
  • Topping
  • 1 cup milk chocolate, semi-sweet or white chocolate, melted
  • Sprinkles, chopped nuts

  • Preheat waffle iron.
  • Pour evaporated milk into a 2 cup (500 mL) measuring cup. Add enough lemon juice or vinegar to bring mixture to 2 cups (500 mL). Stir to combine. Mixture will thicken.
  • Whisk together evaporated milk mixture, eggs, melted butter and vanilla in a large bowl. Combine dry ingredients and stir into evaporated milk mixture. Mix until blended.
  • Ladle batter into preheated waffle iron. Cook the waffles until golden and crisp. Cool on wire cooling rack.
  • Cut each waffle in half. Skewer each waffle lengthwise. Drizzle with melted chocolate and top with sprinkles.
