Chocolate Fudge Brownies

These decadent desserts are sure to put a smile on your kids’ faces. Try them with a scoop of their favourite ice cream.


1/2 cup 125 mL melted butter
1/2 cup 125 mL cocoa powder
1 cup 250 mL granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp 5 mL vanilla extract
1 cup 250 mL Robin Hood® Original All Purpose FLour
1/2 tsp 2 mL baking powder
1/4 tsp 1 mL salt
1/2 cup 125 mL chocolate chips, milk or semi-sweet


  1. Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C). Line a 9” (23cm) square pan with foil and then grease.
  2. Combine the first 5 ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add remaining ingredients and stir until flour disappears. Batter will be stiff.
  3. Bake in preheated oven at 325°F (160°C) for 20 to 25 minutes, until set and brown around the edges. Toothpick inserted will come out slightly sticky.
