This mouth-watering recipe makes it even easier to enjoy the delicious taste of pizza. Try them as an appetizer or serve with a salad for a main course.

Ingredients

2 ½ cups 625 mL Robin Hood® Original All Purpose Flour
2 tsp 10 mL baking powder
2 tsp 10 mL dried basil
½ tsp 2 mL garlic powder
½ tsp 2 mL salt
1 ¼ cups 300 mL milk
1/3 cup 75 mL Crisco® Canola or Vegetable Oil
1 egg
1 cup 250 mL grated Mozzarella cheese
½ cup 125 mL tomato sauce
½ cup 125 mL chopped tomatoes

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375ºF (190ºC). Grease a 12 cup muffin pan or line with paper liners.
  2. Combine flour, baking powder, basil, garlic powder and salt in large bowl. Add milk, oil and egg. Stir just until combined. Gently stir in remaining ingredients. Batter will be very thick.
  3. Spoon into prepared pan.
  4. Bake in preheated oven for 18 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in centre comes out clean. Serve warm or room temperature.
