"We're Talking Homemade" is a television series that celebrates the lives and recipes of six women of diverse backgrounds, working in the Canadian food industry. Watch each week to learn how to prepare their favorite recipes, gain insight into their successes and failures in life, business, and relationships.

These six vibrant women explore a variety of topics on every episode and share personal stories, information, and opinions on issues such as running their own businesses, single parenting, balancing work, home and alone time, the education system, and healthy eating. "We're Talking Homemade" is about more than just food preparation. It is about using cooking and baking as a starting point for educating our children, passing on family traditions and values and as an expression of our feelings for other people.

The Hosts

Our co-hosts include: Wanda Beaver (Wanda's Pie in the Sky), Lois Ferguson (Consultant), Julia Hanna (Nonna Mercato), Dinah Koo (Tiger Lily's), Sarah Palter (Robin Hood), Christine Picheca (Very Good Food) and Lisa Rolla (Good Earth Cooking School). Each of these women brings a distinct life experience to the table as well as their extensive knowledge of baking.

After 18 years of friendship, Marty & Avrum took their first step into the world of entertainment through radio, launching a one-hour show on CFRB 1010. This led to an offer to write quarterly articles in a popular Toronto based magazine called Hot T.O. After gaining local success they moved into television in a cooking show called "Marty & Avrum, The Moveable Feast", airing nationally on Prime. Branching out they also executive produce the television series "Beer Buddies" and "We're Talking Homemade (on which they also appear). All of this adds up to over ten years of success and an ever growing friendship between the two.
